We stand at a precipice where barriers to building great products and the opportunity to dethrone SaaS incumbents is solely constrained by our ability to think differently and aspire to serve humanely.
The past decades of product development have been largely dominated by a relentless race to build "everything apps". This chapter will soon end abruptly; plagued by late-to-the-game feature-bloated copycats whose only edge, lies in driving subscription prices to zero.
Yet with every fall, a golden age can emerge.
While AI is rapidly transforming development with unprecedented speed and precision, design — still grounded in first principles and emotional insight remains uniquely human. Where machines can recognize patterns, automate tasks and distill complexity into clarity, they cannot dream, empathize or form meaningful connections.
We believe an alternate future can emerge, where technology fulfills its original promise—not through endless features or technical showmanship, but by empowering and connecting people in meaningful ways.
Oncefound as such, is a public experiment, a radical bet on this emerging paradigm. We believe listening trumps complexity, and focus outlasts feature-bloat. We believe, the next wave of transformative companies will be built on simple, purposeful tools that step aside to let builders build, and humans connect.
